Rainout Policy
If a total
cancellation of Saturday play, games will be moved to Sunday 1:00pm, 3pm. and
5pm. Division I games for
Sunday will not be
moved.
Adjustments will be made to fields affected. Please check for changes. Coaches call John at 653-8656
All
coaches are asked to work on fields on rain days. Even coaches of later games need to
help if at all possible. Participation
is the key ingredient to keeping costs down and rainouts to a minimum. Teams of coaches or parents that
help work on fields will be games that are played and will have first
priority in rescheduling of rainouts.
Those that put in the time will reap the benefits.
Hotline
will be used to notify of rainouts.
Only Mike Combs, John Rawe or their
assigned party are responsible for cancelling games.
Games
may be delayed, moved to fields in better condition or cancelled depending
on weather and field conditions.
Weeknight games can be pushed back to 6:30 or so. Coaches will be asked to prep
fields.
Coaches
are asked to contact opposing coach and then John Rawe
via email, cc to all parties, or by phone, 859-653-8656, regarding rainouts
the day of the game or before Saturday and reschedule for the following
week if possible. Be games
rained out on Monday or Tuesday will be moved to Thursday of that or the
following week if fields available.
All rainouts before Memorial Day Weekend need to be made-up before
or on Memorial Weekend.
Rescheduling of Games
Must
be done 72 hours ahead or will be considered a forfeit. Coaches need to ask parents at their
game who will not be able to attend the next game. If nine players are available, the
game needs to be played. Policy
will be enforced. Forfeiture of
games will result.
Forfeit Fee
A
forfeit fee has been instituted for the 2008 season. 1st time free, 2nd
time fee must be paid before next game to be played. The fee will be assessed for every
game after; paid to either Eric Hill, Umpire Director,
or John Rawe only.
Other
Only
players and coaches are allowed in the dugouts. They are considered part of the
field.
No cursing
of any kind allowed by players, coaches or fans. Fans of a particular team are the
responsibility of that teams’ coach. Ejection by umpire will result for
any infraction.
Bulletin
boards are going to be installed on the front concession stand to keep
parents informed of league happenings.
